Missed CueBehind me, I hear the laughs and jeers
of the people that are my so-called peers.
"This'll all be over soon," I thought.
It seems I think that quite a lot.

I can't believe I screwed it up.
It's like I only have bad luck.
If you hate me at all, I don't blame you.
If only I hadn't missed that cue.

MinesweeperLife is like a game of Minesweeper.

Nobody really knows what it is or how to get through it.

Sometimes you get stuck in difficult situations, and you just want to start over.

You're driven to giving up.

You make stupid choices.

You're driven to take guesses and leaps of faith; sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

You just click the wrong button, and it ends up ruining everything.

Once in a while, you're given a huge handout. Other times, just a small piece.

You don't know why you keep going on with it.

But you're damn well not going to close out the window before you win.

Rambling RantListen up. I don't know who you think you are, but you are NOT me! You can't have my body. (I don't know why anyone would want it, but HANDS OFF!) I don't care what you think about my invincibility complex, but QUIT TEMPTING ME!!! So I'm a little skewed and I feel like I don't belong. Big deal. I'm not gonna chase portals anymore. My body refuses to become a conduit to the next Realm, so to continue trying to off myself would be futile and stupid. After all, I CAN'T DIE.

I Should Be GoneAll these thoughts that I have fought
about crying and lying and finally dying,
about screaming and bleeding
and hating the fact that my heart is still beating.

Each pulse in my wrist is the pull of a trigger,
the 'boom' in my heart more pain to endure.
I should be dead, I should be gone
but for some reason I'm here, still carrying on.

OUT OF THE DARKNESS...I feel her lips on mine, deep and dark and full
of a dusky divinity that molds itself to the
mosaic mausoleum of my soul, her kisses taste
like dark chocolate melting into bitter wine,
too delicious to deny...so I immerse myself
into that unfathomable fraction where morbid
fascination blots out the last remnants of
mortal morality, usually I see her wink at me
when my tombstone Thoughts are not too heavy
with the weight of regretful tears, but my heart
has yet to flesh out my wishful finality

Armada: A Poem of CloudsArmada

Across the waves of sky,
the Cloud Armada comes.

Galleons of mist,
Punching through a desert of blue.

An avalanche,
Tumbling across the land.

A panicking king,
Fading away...

Matter moves,
To form islands of aether.

The army hovers,
Tendrils eject.

Snaking through the underbrush of sky,
Paintbrushes of whispered white.

Dragons of quiet,
Set against tears of light.

The spine of sky,
A battlefield of cotton and sun.

Landscapes in a second,
Battleships the next.

Sometimes I just have those days
Where everyone should stay away
Where the slightest thing you say
Will be the cause of me to break your face.

You better keep clear during these times
I promise to exhibit obvious signs.
I'll hiss and I'll growl; I'll snicker and snear.

Fixing the Bulb I finally admit it as l'm trying to nap in the hallway outside my Creative Writing class: the last two hours have been no fun.

Melody of Spring"The winter air is dark and bleak,
but you, my love, are light to me.

She shakes her head and turns away,
and after a moment, starts to say,

Before he could begin to speak,

those two dictionaries that wouldn't be missed.

He would read them as a child, just for fun,
but couldn't pass this hobby on to his sons.

For now, dictionaries simply sit on wood shelves,

precious books and Monopoly left in the distance.
