My heart drops straight down,
my stomach goes cold.
My brain is still processing
what I've just been told.

Worst case scenarios
run through my head,
What if you're hurt--
Or what if you're dead?

I call your cell phone
at least five times,
I can't deal with this!
And dead goes the line.

I pace the floor faster,
I walk all around.
Tears fall from my eyes.
And I drop to the ground.

I can't deal with this..
Just pick up the phone!
I try one more time,
and you answer, "Hello?"

My grief turns to joy,
then right into anger.
"I was worried, you idiot!
Why wouldn't you answer?!"

It seems I think that quite a lot.

I can't believe I screwed it up.
It's like I only have bad luck.

A slash of rich blue
I add red in you too
And mix it with green
to create this scene
of grass and animals too.

Trees of a forest, flowers of a field,
Detail up close and then haze afar
right where the mountain ranges are.

As I stroke with a mighty brush
I see my dream appear on canvas---
oh wow, what a rush!

The colors come out, the shapes and details too:
From this mind, this hand, this eye of creation
comes forth light and art and talent new!

Finally I sign in the lower corner to call it done;
I've taken the journey where my dream came from.
This canvas wet with work; this scene unfold,
To now listen to vis
I BelieveA thousand times I walked along this line
Dreaming of the other side
So far away, yet next to me
A strange new land
Full of possibility

A million times I wondered why
I had now wings to spread and fly
Until I found them inside my mind

29. School (Bleach)At the Shinigami Academy, I sit behind a boy named Shunsui Kyouraku.

He's an... interesting guy.

Although he often flirts with every single girl in the class (including me!), he's actually a pretty nice guy. I talk to him a lot when I get bored in class.

He's a noble. The Kyouraku family is one of the most prestigious families in all of Soul Society, in fact. So why doesn't Shunsui care?

I couldn't tell you. I guess it's just his personality. He doesn't care where people are from. I like that about him.

The author's note is... Well, wrong.
There are several unloved and unwanted people in the world, and your artificial affection and care for them won't change that fact, nor will it change their will to die.

I get your point, and I actually agree with you in some regards of that. The message I was trying to convey was that I believe everyone deserves a chance (or second chance), and even if they feel they don't deserve it, I'm willing to give it to them. Sorry, I'm not really good with phrasing my words... xD

Take it from someone who has attempted suicide, small words may change things. But inevitably, that illusion will fade, too.

To be honest, this has been me for about 3 weeks now. My grades are slipping, I just found out some disheartening info about ma last breakup, and I really just wanna sink. This poem almost makes me want to do something.
